All of these tips are for games being played in the Berlin Major, Challengers Stage.

Avangar v Complexity

Avangar (1.62)

Form is distinctively on Avangar’s side in this contest. They’ve won four of their previous best-of-three-round matches without dropping a map. compLexity, on the other hand, have lost three matches without winning a map.

Sixteen-year-old oBo is in scintillating form for compLexity, but Avangar have enough firepower of their own, in Jame and AdreN. Avangar have a win rate of 50% or more in four of six maps (Dust 2, Inferno, Train and Vertigo), with Mirage plausibly being their weakest point, having won just 4 of their previous 11 attempts. Still, the odds and probability is strongly in favour of Avangar.

G2 Esports v TYLOO

G2 Esports (1.43)

G2’s consistency in CS:GO over the last few months has seen them rise to No. 8 in the world rankings. KennyS is the leader of the pack, with an average deaths per round of 0.62 over the past three months. With 0.75 kills per round, his K/D ratio is hard to match. G2 are coming off two losses, to MIBR and Liquid, but there’s plenty of confidence from three successive wins prior to that.

The last time these two teams met at IEM Katowice earlier in the year, Tyloo eked to a 16-12 round win in Mirage, but G2 destroyed Tyloo in Dust2 (16-2) and Cache (16-7).

Furia Esports v HellRaisers

Furia Esports (1.41)

The all-Brazilian FURIA CS:GO team has made significant progress from around this time last year. Easing past Avangar in their last match, 3-1, will also add to their confidence. Kscerato is statistically their most important player, with an incredible K/D ratio (0.75 kills, 0.57 deaths per round on average). Yuurih’s efficiency is also pivotal to Furia.

On the other hand, four of HellRaisers’ starters have a negative K/D ratio: Ange1, Issaa, IoWel and nukkye. The contrast is stark enough to back Furia.

Featured bet of the day (mousesports v forZe)

forZe (2.36)

Against the world No. 10 mousesports, forZe have a tough game to open the Berlin Major. But count forZe out at your peril. Gamer for gamer, forZe can easily hold their own in almost any map, with Overpass being their only weak link (5 wins in their last 10 attempts).

Xsepower is a beast in his own right, with movement being crucial in his impressive defensive armoury. On average in the last three months, he has been killed just 0.56 times per round, the best for any player in this match. Nuke is their go-to map considering they have an 87% win rate over 15 maps.
