With the big tournaments on a one-day hiatus, we break down some of today's games in Mountain Dew League.
Over 2.5 Maps (1.90)
Both of these teams have been in good form recently. sAw have looked surprisingly good, beating both forZe and Sprout 2-0 to make it to the upper-bracket final. Endpoint had a bit of an easier road, beating neXus and Secret. They also recently took down ESL Premiership, beating Vexed in the final 3-0. Assuming that sAw stick to their Mirage perma-ban, Endpoint should get to play Train, and they have been incredibly solid on this map. They took down sAw 16-8 on Train in their last meeting, and they have also beaten teams like mousesports and North on this map in recent time. sAw, on the other hand, should get to play either Vertigo or Nuke, and they will be a massive favourite on this map. It might be worth seeing if the map order is announced beforehand, because betting on sAw to win their map choice is a great play here, in my opinion.
Sprout (1.44)
Sprout were upset by sAw, and now have to battle through the loser-bracket. Their opponent is HellRaisers, who will need a big performance from Flarich if they want to take down a fundamentally sound Sprout team. There may be an opportunity for HellRaisers to steal a map here due to Sprout’s recent form on Inferno, but Sprout should be the stronger team over the course of three maps.
