Faze clan v Virtus.pro

Faze Clan (1.23)

Virtus.pro have made significant strides up the CS:GO rankings over the last few months. All due credit to them as they have now moved up to No. 18 in the world. However, they have found the step-up to be another kettle of fish as is evidenced from their recent form. They have lost their last four matches to quality opponents, in Liquid, Godsent, Mad Lions and Mousesports.

This game against Faze, ranked seventh in the world, has a very similar feel to it. Niko and Rain have led this Faze team extremely well, with able support from Coldzera, Olofmeister and Broky. You wouldn’t expect this support cast to set the CS:GO stage alight, but they’ve done more than well.

Evil Geniuses v Swole Patrol

Evil Geniuses (1.15)

You might say that the previous game was a mismatch. Then that would make this something else. Evil Geniuses have frequently entered their bid for the top echelons of CS:GO with wins in a few Majors. They are now No. 8 in the world, led by the same players that helped them get there: Tarik, Cerq and Brehze to name a few.

Swole Patrol are ranked 56 in the world. They might be able to challenge EG in a map, but that’s all they might be able to do because over a sustained period, the skill shows. That’s why a best of three is a fair indicator of quality.

Furia Esports v MIBR

Furia Esports (1.51)

This is the most balanced matchup of the day. Yet, there are too many factors in Furia’s corner. The higher payout for MIBR is tempting and that might have been a strong consideration if this was a best-of-one encounter. However, Furia’s skill and offensive depth will show.

Furia are ranked No. 12 in the world, with Yuurih and Kscerato in strong offensive form. Furia have also got the edge over MIBR in the head-to-head matchup. In five maps against each other, Furia have won four with an 80% winning rate. This won’t be a rout and MIBR might even win a map, but backing Furia is the prudent choice.
