DreamHack Masters Winter: GODSENT vs. Heroic

GODSENT +1.5 (1.53)

Current world No.2, Heroic, take on GODSENT in the first quarter-final of the day. While GODSENT have in some ways failed to live up to expectations since picking up Farlig, Heroic are a team that they tend to give a lot of trouble. They actually beat them at Elisa Invitational 2 back in November, and they took map against them at both DreamHack Open Anaheim and ESL Pro League. It is questionable if GODSENT have what it takes to actually win this series, but they have proven that they are more than capable of beating Heroic on any map. So far they have managed to beat Heroic on Train, Nuke, Overpass and Vertigo. With that in mind, I think taking GODSENT on the handicap is a decent play in this matchup.

DreamHack Masters Winter: mousesports vs. Cloud9

mouz Map 2 (1.47)

mousesports are coming in as the favourite in this quarter-final matchup against newcomers Cloud9. Assuming that these two teams stick to their usual perma-bans, mousesports should get to pick Inferno. Cloud9 have lost all three of their games on Inferno so far, one of which was against mousesports at BLAST Showdown a week ago. While mousesports may be exploitable in some areas, Inferno is one of the maps where they have looked super solid, having won four straight. I would expect mouz to pick last here, but as always, try to see if you can catch the veto before locking in any bets.
