We break down three of today's games in ESL One: Road to Rio.
Winstrike (1.98)
forZe have been absolutely atrocious recently, and it would not be surprising if there is some major turmoil going on within the team right now. They have been swept in their last four BO3 series against Gambit Youngsters, Spirit (2x) and Nemiga. Meanwhile, Winstrike are on an eight-game win streak, including a sweep against forZe back in March, and they will be heading into this match full of confidence.
Spirit -1.5 (1.39)
Spirit have been flawless so far at ESL One: Road to Rio, taking down forZe and Gambit Youngsters without dropping a single map. This is probably the second-best team in the CIS region right now after Natus Vincere, and they are now going up against the weakest team in the tournament.
GODSENT Map 1 (3.15)
GODSENT are big underdogs here against a FaZe side that is playing well right now, but GODSENT’s map pool sets up quite well for a potential upset. With Vertigo and Mirage likely to get banned, GODSENT will have the option of picking Overpass, a map that has been poor for FaZe recently. FaZe should take care of GODSENT on their map choice, but if we get to a potential decider, it is anyone’s game with both teams being comfortable on Nuke.
