DreamHack Masters Spring 2020: NiP vs. Vitality

Over 2.5 Maps (1.86)

NiP just made a very unexpected roster change, choosing to remote Lekr0 in favor of the former GamerLegion player, hampus. This is a very nice addition to the team, but the question is if Lekr0 was the right guy to replace on this team. Regardless, NiP has started to become more competitive against Vitality since they started incorporating Overpass into their map pool, and I would expect them to pick it once more here, with Vitality likely opting for Nuke or Mirage. Overpass has been a poor map for Vitality since misutaaa joined the team, and they only have a 40% win rate on this map overall. NiP should definitely struggle on Vitality’s map pick, with both Nuke and Mirage being poor maps for them, as well. With both teams having a clear advantage on their respective map picks, the over might be the most favorable play.

DreamHack Masters Spring 2020: ENCE vs. Natus Vincere

ENCE +1.5 (1.40)

Natus Vincere are coming off a 2-1 win against Vitality. While you would expect them to take this series, it is far from a guarantee with how suspect they have looked in some of these matches. ENCE will be playing this match with Jamppi, and so far they are undefeated with their newest addition, winning five straight in Elisa Invitational. Of course, it needs to be said that this was against lesser competition, but there is no doubt that Jamppi adds some much-needed firepower to the team, and it should give them a great chance at stealing away a map here against Natus Vincere.

DreamHack Masters Spring 2020: 100 Thieves vs. Cloud9

100 Thieves (1.77)

100 Thieves are coming off an impressive win against Gen.G, while Cloud9 took care of business against a struggling Evil Geniuses in their match. Cloud9 have been in excellent form recently, but 100 Thieves definitely have a bit of an edge in the map pool against Cloud9. Overpass is 100 Thieves perma-ban, which just so happens to be Cloud9’s strongest map. The fact that Cloud9 generally tend to ban Mirage also helps 100 Thieves a lot, since they have struggled immensely on this map throughout 2020. Add in the fact that 100 Thieves favor Vertigo helps them even further, with this being one of Cloud9’s weakest maps overall. Cloud9 will likely attempt to take advantage of 100 Thieves supposed weakness on Train, but this is a map that 100 Thieves have proven to be surprisingly good on, taking down Cloud9 in their last match, in addition to wins against both Gen.G and Evil Geniuses in recent times.
