DreamHack Masters Spring 2020: FaZe vs. Spirit

Spirit +1.5 (1.49)

Spirit impressed in their win against fnatic, sweeping the series with wins on Nuke and Inferno, and they are now set to take on FaZe who just edged out GODSENT in a three map series. These two teams generally favor a similar set of maps, with Mirage and Dust2 being popular picks for both sides. Spirit will likely have the option of taking advantage of FaZe’s weakness on Train or Overpass if they want to, but they might just be happy to play FaZe straight up on their most comfortable maps. Either way, Spirit will definitely get a set of maps where they are comfortable, and they might just be able to steal a map or two against a FaZe side that is fresh off a roster change.

DreamHack Masters Spring 2020: fnatic vs. GODSENT

GODSENT Map 1 +3.5 (1.90)

Both of these teams are coming off a loss. fnatic looked completely out of it in their match against Spirit, while GODSENT lost to FaZe after three maps. fnatic have a bit of an edge in the map veto since GODSENT rarely plays two of their weakest maps, Vertigo and Mirage. GODSENT might be tempted to pick Nuke after how poor fnatic looked on it yesterday, and while Dust2 is also an option, this would be far for ideal since their newest addition, Farlig rarely played it during his time on Copenhagen Flames. fnatic has a clear edge on their map choice, with fnatic favoring Inferno, so it really comes down to if you think GODSENT can steal away Nuke or not. Considering how poor fnatic looked on Nuke yesterday, I think there is a legitimate chance for GODSENT to do some damage on their map choice.

DreamHack Masters Spring 2020: 100 Thieves vs. Gen.G

Gen.G ML (1.82)

Gen.G has a bit of an edge on 100 Thieves due to their respective map pools. 100 Thieves tend to stick to their permaban of Overpass, which just so happens to be one of the worst maps for Gen.G, as well. This means that Gen.G will likely get to ban Vertigo, which is one of the few maps where 100 Thieves have looked good so far this year. This leaves maps like Mirage, Dust2 and Inferno, and with how poor 100 Thieves have looked on Mirage (6 losses, 1 win in 2010), you would have to favor Gen.G in this one.
