DreamHack Masters Spring 2020: fnatic vs. Spirit

fnatic 2nd Map (1.49)

fnatic had a rough go of things in ESL One: Road to Rio, but they are the favorites bounce back with a win here against Spirit. The CIS side has played great recently, and they came out on top in ESL One: Road to Rio CIS ahead of teams like Natus Vincere and This should be a bit of a brawl, with both teams going for individual plays. I would expect Spirit to go for a map like Mirage or Dust2, while fnatic will most likely favor Inferno or Overpass. I definitely like fnatic’s chances on Inferno in particular, since this is a map where Spirit have shown some signs of weakness at times despite their excellent run of form.

DreamHack Masters Spring 2020: FaZe Clan vs. GODSENT

GODSENT +1.5 (1.61)

Both of these teams have just made roster changes. GODSENT have acquired one of the most exciting young AWPers in the form of Farlig, while olofmeister has chosen to step down from FaZe with his replacement yet to be announced as of the writing of this article. However, it is rumoured that Bymas will be the one to take his place, a Lithuanian player who has little to no experience outside the realms of FPL. Neither of these two teams will have had enough time to really prepare with their new lineups, so I could see this one being a bit shaky from both sides, with GODSENT potentially stealing a map. GODSENT actually favors a similar set of maps as FaZe, and with maps like Mirage and Vertigo likely to get banned, they will have the option of going towards a map like Overpass, which FaZe has shown some signs of weakness on at times. If both of these teams had their original lineups, FaZe would be a huge favorite to take this down, but the recent roster shakeups have made this one a bit spicier.

DreamHack Masters Spring 2020: Cloud9 vs. Evil Geniuses

Cloud9 +1.5 (1.47)

Evil Geniuses had a difficult time in ESL One: Road to Rio, falling at the hands of teams like Cloud9, 100 Thieves and Gen.G, failing to make the playoffs as a result. Meanwhile, Cloud9 are fresh off an upset win against Team Liquid, and this is a team that has been on the up a bit in the last couple of months. With the current form of these two teams, it would not be surprising to see Cloud9 steal a map or even win the series.
