We break down two of today's matches in ESL One: Road to Rio.
GODSENT +1.5 (1.53) or GODSENT 1st Map +3.5 (1.67)
The last time these two sides met was in ESL Pro League, where Vitality came out victorious with a clean 2–0 sweep. However, GODSENT really pushed them hard on their map pick, Vertigo, with the map going all 30 rounds. The map pools of these two teams actually match up quite well in favor of GODSENT, who are comfortable enough on a map like Nuke to potentially steal a map in this one. While ZywOo and his crew deserve to be favorites, GODSENT on the map/round handicap isn’t a bad play here, in my opinion.
Copenhagen Flames 1st Map (2.17)
Copenhagen Flames have really looked impressive in many of their matches at ESL One: Road to Rio, with Farlig being a thorn in the side of his opponents. They weren’t able to close out the win on the decider against mousesports, but it is now noteworthy that they have taken a map against three very strong opponents in the form of G2, FaZe and mousesports. Both of these teams should be in a good position to win each other’s map picks, with Copenhagen Flames holding a clear advantage on Inferno and a slight advantage on Nuke/Overpass, while ENCE will be significant favorites on Dust2, Train and Mirage. If Copenhagen Flames are to take this to a decider, they will have the best chance of doing so on their map pick.
