Forze v Speedrunners

Correct score (in maps): 2-0 to Forze

Forze have been on the professional CS:GO circuit for a long time now. That period of experience has pushed them up to No. 25 in the CS:GO rankings. In stark contrast, Speedrunners are ranked No. 79 in the world. They wouldn’t have faced the same skill and class of opponent as Forze have now become accustomed to. This should be a comfortable straight-maps victory for Forze.

Winstrike v Hellraisers

Hellraisers (2.07)

If the previous game was a mismatch, this is diametrically opposite. Nothing separates these two teams. Winstrike are ranked 52 in the world, Hellraisers are ranked 51. In terms of recent form, both of these teams have won three of their previous five matches. Hellraisers are coming off a 16-5 win against Illuminar in their previous game, which will hold them in good stead in terms of confidence and momentum. Also, they have the larger payout, which is always tempting.

Pro100 v Espada

Pro100 (1.33)

The odds for Pro100 are quite low because Espada aren’t a bad team. But it’s also true that Pro100 are firm favourites in this contest. Here are a few reasons why. First, they have been in decent form, having won three of their last five matches, including victories against BIG and Jalapeno. They are higher ranked (No. 34 in the world) compared to Espada’s No. 55 ranking. Pro100 also own the head-to-head match-up. They’ve won both their maps against Espada at WESG Russia (16-12 in Mirage and 25-22 in Train).

Hard Legion v Team Unique

Total maps: Over 2.5 (1.94)

Hard Legion are favourites in this clash, and rightly so. Over a longer duration of time, they’ve been better and that has led to their ascent up the rankings, up to No. 45 in the world. However, Hard Legion are going through a bad run of form that includes five losses in their last five matches. In the head to head, these two have played each other 15 times, with Hard Legion leading eight to seven. It’s highly plausible that Team Unique can capitalise on their opponent’s lack of form to win one map. Hard Legions should do that too.
