BLAST Spring Showdown: fnatic vs. Vitality

Over 2.5 Maps (1.88)

Vitality came out on top the last time these two sides met by a 2–1 scoreline. This was the first time that Vitality played against fnatic with misutaaa instead of ALEX. However, fnatic hold the better overall H2H record with 4 wins and 2 losses in BO3s against Vitality with their core three of KRIMZ, JW and flusha, and they have only lost to Vitality once since the addition of Golden. I think that the fnatic team is stronger overall, but Vitality’s map pool makes this an even series. fnatic have never lost against Vitality on Inferno, so you would expect them to pick it again here, while Vitality will likely opt for Nuke or Dust2. The French side definitely has a clear edge on their map choice, and if they were to take it to a decider where Mirage is likely to be played, they will be in a great spot since fnatic have lost their last five games on this map. This game is pretty much a pick’em type matchup, which has a really good chance of going all three maps due to how dominant these two teams have been on their respective map picks.

BLAST Spring Showdown: Gen.G vs. FURIA

Gen.G +1.5 (1.44)

While FURIA have looked amazing so far this year, they have had their fair share of issues dealing with Gen.G. The North American side has never lost to FURIA in a BO3 series, winning three games since their inception. They did lose to FURIA in the group stage of this tournament, but it needs to be said that this was a BO1. With how good Gen.G have proven to be against FURIA, they should have a great chance at taking a map in this series, and they might even be able to pull off the upset.
