BLAST Premier: Vitality vs. FaZe

Over 26.5 rounds 1st Map (1.79) Over 2.5 Maps (1.86)

Vitality absolutely annihilated their French rivals G2 in their first-round matchup, while FaZe defeated ENCE in theirs. Both of these teams have looked very solid recently. Vitality have won four out of their last five games against some pretty formidable opposition, and FaZe have only dropped games against BIG and NaVi since Bymas joined the roster. This is pretty much a pick’em type matchup, and I would expect this to be a pretty close series overall. At first glance, the over seems like the most appealing play in this spot, but it is a pretty high-risk bet overall since the map veto sets up in a way where either team could easily sweep this series. Over 26.5 rounds is a play that I like slightly better for this reason.

BLAST Premier: Team Liquid vs. FURIA

FURIA (1.65)

I think few would have predicted that the DreamHack Masters finalists FURIA and Liquid would find themselves fighting for their tournament lives in the lower-bracket this early on this tournament, but here we are. FURIA looked completely out of their element against MIBR despite a favorable map veto, and the same goes for Liquid who lost to Evil Geniuses in a BO3 for the first since 2018. FURIA have been completely dominant in this matchup throughout history. In fact, they haven’t lost to Liquid once this year, winning five straight. We have seen plenty of underdogs come through with wins recently so you cannot rule Liquid out of this one, but I definitely favor the Brazilians here. FURIA have picked Vertigo in their last four games against Liquid, and they yet to lose this map against the North American side.
