BLAST Spring Showdown: NiP vs. Astralis

NiP (2.41)

Astralis are now without both Xyp9x and gla1ve, with Snappi set to make his debut for the team. While Snappi isn’t a terrible pickup, NiP are in a good spot for an upset, especially with this being a BO1. NiP have played well against Astralis so far this year, beating them in ESL Pro League and narrowingly losing a three map series in ESL One: Road to Rio, and the fact that they have started favoring Overpass and Vertigo has definitely helped them in these matches. Astralis eventually figured out that their best shot at beating NiP is on Nuke, but NiP are likely to ban it alongside Dust2, which gives them a set of maps where they will be more than comfortable against Astralis.

BLAST Spring Showdown: FURIA vs. MIBR

FURIA (1.55)

FURIA have never lost against MIBR, and they haven’t even dropped a map in their last three series against their Brazilian rivals. If there is a spot where MIBR could upset FURIA, it is here. However, it is very hard to ignore just how dominant FURIA have been against MIBR historically, and they have looked extremely hard to beat all throughout 2020.

BLAST Spring Showdown: Chaos vs. Gen.G

Chaos (2.95)

Chaos have looked surprisingly strong recently, beating Liquid and taking a map off FURIA in BO3 series. Xeppaa has looked really impressive, and with leaf set to play this match, they have a solid combination of both young talent and experience. While Gen.G have looked solid, as well, this is a spot where Chaos might be the more favorable play at the longer odds due to the BO1 and online factor.
