A CS:GO round-up of some matches from Thursday, including the world’s best team.
Astralis have been the world’s best CS:GO team for a while. To be No. 1 for a sustained period of time takes some serious skill. It’s often easier to get to the top than stay there. Their long run atop the CS:GO rankings is testament to their depth and longevity. Fnatic are, by no means, going to be easy to beat. But it’s extremely tough to bet against Astralis. Here are a few reasons why.
Total maps: Under 2.5 (1.30)
Havu Gaming are too good for Hreds in this particular match-up. Almost all factors lean towards Havu. Havu have won their last four matches, all best-of-three encounters. Hreds have won just one of their last five games. Havu have won all six maps they have played against Hreds.
In terms of ranking, there is a massive mismatch too. Havu are currently ranked 30, while Hreds have a No. 116 ranking in the CS:GO set-up. Hreds haven’t even played enough matches to assess their form over the last few months. The plausible result is a comfortable 3-0 victory for Havu.
Total maps: Over 2.5 (1.84)
There isn’t a lot that separates these two teams. SJ are ranked 57 in the world, while Kova are No. 69. SJ have lost three of their last five matches, while Kova have won three in that same period. These two teams have played against each other six times; SJ have won four of those. These aren’t massive differences to suggest that SJ will definitely win 3-0. It’s quite unlikely that Kova will win 3-0. That means the best bet could be backing this match to go past two maps.
