Quincy Crew won the BTS Pro Series 2: Americas beating 4 Zoomers in a tight best-of-five, requiring all five games to split the difference.
When Quincy Crew and 4 Zoomers went head-to-head in the group stage, they split the games 1-1 apiece. Quincy Crew left the group stage with a record of five wins, three draws, and one loss; they were tied in score with Evil Geniuses. The group stage was a close affair with both 4 Zoomers and business associates also tied in score. QC would move into the upper bracket of the event after beating business associates 2-1 and then eventual grand finalists, 4 Zoomers, in a clean 2-0.
Quincy Crew and 4 Zoomers couldn’t be separated in the grand finals and took it in turns winning each game: QC game 1, 4 Zoomers game 2, QC game 3, 4 Zoomers game 4, and QC game 5. Who knows what would have happened if it was a best-of-seven! The final took a bit of a turn when in the fourth game Yawar “YawaR” Hassan’s internet went down. He was unable to play. This has been a series of bad timing for Quincy Crew as this happened to them during the BTS Pro Series 1 and ESL One Birmingham 2020 - Online: Americas. This is an unfortunate result of playing more and more events online.
As a result, Quincy Crew had to find a replacement for him quickly. They placed their faith in Guilherme Silva “Costabile” Costábile from NoPing e-sports. Although they lost the match it was an admirable effort from the Brazilian who went 10-4-4 (KDA) on his infamous Phantom Lancer. Quincy Crew have come out of this new world of Dota looking like the strongest team in North America. With a weakened Evil Geniuses, the path is set for them to take the throne. This is their third first-place finish in 2020 with three other second-place finishes. For their efforts, Quincy Crew took home $21,000 USD in prize money.
