AVANT have announced the departure of Chris “ofnu” Hanley, who officially signed for the organization back in February of 2019. The kiwi helped AVANT win the ESL ANZ Championship Season 10, where he finished the tournament as the team’s top performer with a 1.24 overall rating.

In a statement on twitter, ofnu emphasized that he intends to continue his playing career and that he is looking for a new team.

“I am extremely motivated to continue my playing career, open to any and all offers. I accept my mistakes & flaws as a player and will continue to work on them. I see this as a necessary wake up call for my continued development as a player. I have, and always will strive to do the best I can for any team that I compete with. I feel reignited by my removal from the team and am looking forward to whatever challenges are ahead of me.”

AVANT, who are currently participating in the Mountain Dew League and the second stage of ESL ANZ Championship Season 11, are now down to the following four players:

  • 🇦🇺 Mike “ap0c” Aliferis
  • 🇦🇺 Peter “BL1TZ” Athanasatos
  • 🇦🇺 Jared “HaZR” O’Bree
  • 🇳🇿 Euan “sterling” Moore
